About Me
My name is Scarlett Olivia. Welcome to my world! A little bit about me? I was born in Los Angeles, but have lived in different places including Texas, Washing State, and somehow I landed in Idaho. I've come to appreciate all that nature has to offer. Hiking with my dogs through the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains is such a blessing.
I attended a small college in the San Fernando Valley called Columbia College of Hollywood. I studied film, screenwriting, and the nature of the male ego as it relates to film directing. After college I explored the great Pacific North West in hopes to pursue a gaming career in Seattle. If you would like to read more about my comedic and very educational experience please see my article: No Masters Degree? No Connections? No Job! Living In Seattle.
Writing is one of my biggest passions. I love it. I may not be good at it, but it's okay because I write for me. It makes me feel like I am doing something I'm meant for... or that's meant for me. My preferred genre is comedy. Making people laugh is the greatest joy.
What's life without music? No life at all, I say! I've been drumming for a little over 6 years now and learn something new everyday. That's the amazing thing about drumming, no matter how good you get you still have more to learn. There are endless rhythms, grooves, beats, fills, and time signatures to explore. It's absolutely thrilling and a bit daunting.
I have a son. An eighty pound, fur shedding, slobbering, snoring, spastic, goofy, happy, wet nosed, yellow labrador retriever... son. His name is Chester or Waffle or Pumpkin depending on who's calling him. He makes my heart full and life worth living. One look at him and I am reminded that life is good and full of love.
I also have a daughter. My long coat German Shepard; Leela. Or as I like to call her, 'my little psychopath'. She has shredded four of my favorite books, destroyed the blinds, taken the finish off the front door, and opened her 'ant proof' food bin all on her own... Chester was a witness in all of this not an accomplice. Although she has aged me by 10 years, looking into her eyes makes me feel whole. She is after all my baby girl.
Thank you very much for taking the time out of your life to read a little bit about mine.
